Prof. Frank completed his medical studies at RWTH Aachen University and at the University of Cologne. He completed his specialist training in Aachen and New York.

Prof. Dr. Frank holds a professorship in dermato-oncology at the University Medical Center Goettingen and is a senior physician at the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology there. He is an internationally recognized expert in genetically caused skin diseases (genodermatoses), particularly in the field of hereditary skin tumor diseases and porphyrias.

With more than 250 scientific publications and as an author of numerous renowned textbooks such as Braun Falco’s Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology, Bolognia’s Dermatology, and Harrison’s Internal Medicine, he is considered one of the leading dermatologists nationally and internationally.
